In other news...

NEW TATOO! well, not on me.
But on ~MasterHoff's skin.

How did he made it?
According to ~Kaelessin...I made the bottom head flat by resting it upside down on foam for a while and then on the table so the clay collapsed just a little as it was drying without appearing to do so. Voila! a self supporting inverted head! Luckily your design has some great symmetry so the weight is pretty much evenly distributed!

the harder problem to solve was how to fire it at cone 10 (~2340 degrees F) without it simply sagging together! I had thought of using Nicrome wire for support and a few other expensive remedies but then my prof recommended that I simply fire them separately and then stick them together later! . . .duh lol
